DANCE REVIEW
LAST FRIDAY (1/26/07) I played for the MOUNTAINEERS
ROCK AND ROLL DANCE. This long-running monthly dance (I've been
playing for them since the early 1990s and I know they'd been going on for a
long time before that) is produced by the Seattle Mountaineers and is open to
the public. The next one will be on Friday, February 16 and will feature
DJ PAUL THOMPSON. Since it is a Rock and Roll dance
that will be near both Valentines Day and Fat Tuesday the theme will be ROCKIN'
ROMANCE DANCE: MARDI GRAS STYLE! There will be a cash prize for
the best Mardi Gras mask plus the music mix will include some extra romantic
classics mixed in with the Rock and Roll!
LAST SATURDAY
(1/27/07) I played for the ST. LOUISE SINGLES SNOWBALL DANCE
in Bellevue where we had around 200 people dancin' up a storm! It had
been nearly two years since I played here (because I was booked with other
dances) so I'm glad they were able to schedule me again. These dances
are produced by St. Louise Singles and open to the public (usually about half
of the people are from the general public). I'll be playing for their
next dance on Saturday, April 28. Watch these emails for details.
LAST SUNDAY (1/28/07) I played for THE
HARBOR HAPPENING, the weekly dance that I put on in the lounge at
China Harbor Restaurant. The mix of music I played included all types of
Swing (East, West, Lindy, Jitterbug), Cha Cha, Waltz, Hustle, Nightclub
Two-Step, Cowboy Cha Cha, Electric Slide, Salsa, Rumba, Disco, Foxtrot, Modern
Jazz, Big Band, Funk, Tango, Samba, Country Two-Step, Blues, and Mambo.
You won't get that much variety at any other dance I know of, so if you're a
versatile dancer, this is the place for you! The pre-dance lesson this
coming Sunday will be Cha Cha. Scroll up for full details.

This week's email was sent to 5125 email addresses. The paper
mailing goes to about 2000 people. I take guardianship of both your
